Established in 1994 as a custom machine shop, Wessex Precision Machining supplies parts for the Nuclear, Mining, Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, Automation, Rubber and Food Processing Industries. We perform other services, such as rebuilding and repairing of worn or obsolete parts. From Lathes to Machining Centers, small Milling Machines to large capacity Boring Mills, we have a wide array of up to date equipment to fulfill most machining requirements, plus 80,000 pound lifting capacity in our 25,000 square foot facility.

Our Team
Gary Wheeldon
Owner
Gary is one of the founders of Wessex Machining. Born, raised and educated in England, he moved with his wife and children to Ontario in 1989. He worked in a custom machine shop for six years as a Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist, before opening Wessex in 1994. He is responsible for the overall running of Wessex as well as sales and quoting.
Gary holds a City and Guilds of London degree in mechanical engineering.
Peter Alden
Owner
Peter is one of the founders of Wessex Machining. Born, raised and educated in England, he moved with his wife and children to Ontario in 1974. He worked in a custom machine shop for 5 years as a Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist. He then moved to Alberta as an Oilfield Machinist and back to Ontario to work in a custom machine shop before opening Wessex in 1994.
Peter is our teams main salesman and estimator.
Ivanka Vukovic
Controller / Office Manager
Ivanka is a valued member of our team and has been an integral part of Wessex since 2004. In her current role, Ivanka is responsible for accounting and financial operations, plus purchasing and numerous other general office tasks. Ivanka is an ambitious individual who undertakes many initiatives that promote our company’s success.
Ivanka holds a Bachelor of Economics from University of Osijek in Croatia. She also earned her Accounting Certificate of College of Limoilou in Quebec.
